Fire safety management software for a whole portfolio of buildings.
One register of every premises you hold a duty over, with the profile, the responsible person and the full compliance history attached to the building rather than scattered across drives.
Portfolios outgrow the folder structure long before anyone admits it
A single building is manageable on a shared drive. Twenty is not. The failure is rarely dramatic — it is a block that changed managing agent and took its records with it, a building whose responsible person left eighteen months ago, a site nobody is certain was ever assessed. None of that shows up until somebody asks, and by then the answer has to be assembled rather than looked up.
The Fire Safety Order places its duties on the responsible person for each premises. That is a per-building obligation, which means a per-building record — and a portfolio view that can tell you, without a week of collation, which of those buildings is currently short of one.
The building is the record
Every assessment, door check, service visit and defect in FireOptix is held against a building, not filed near it. That is the structural decision the rest of the platform depends on: because the building owns its history, a portfolio view is a query rather than a spreadsheet somebody maintains by hand.
Role-based visibility means an area manager covering eight blocks sees eight blocks. Contractors see the sites they attend. Whoever is accountable across the estate sees all of it, and can move from that view into a single building's history without changing tools.
Buildings
A live register of every building you are responsible for.
- Building profile, height, use and responsible person in one place
- Switch between a whole-portfolio view and a single building history
- Role-based visibility, so staff only see the buildings they cover
What this is not
FireOptix is a record of your premises, not a source of truth about them. It does not survey buildings, determine their height or use class, or decide whether one is a higher-risk building — those are inputs you or your assessor provide. It also does not handle building control submissions or gateway applications.
Common questions
- Is there a limit on how many buildings we can hold?
- The licence covers a set number of properties, with further properties charged annually beyond that. Users, doors, defects and records within those properties are unlimited — the pricing page carries the current figures.
- Can different staff see different buildings?
- Yes. Visibility is role-based, so staff and contractors see only the buildings they cover while whoever is accountable across the estate sees everything.
- Does it work for a single building?
- It does, though the portfolio view is where most of the value sits. A responsible person with one block still gets the register, the review dates and the defect tracking; they simply will not use the cross-building reporting much.

Fire risk assessments
Every fire risk assessment held against its building, with the review date surfaced before it lapses and each significant finding tracked until somebody actually closes it.

Golden thread records
Assessment, check, servicing and remedial evidence held against the building it covers — current, attributable and reportable across the estate without anything being re-keyed on the day.
