Fire risk assessment software that tracks the actions, not just the document.
Every fire risk assessment held against its building, with the review date surfaced before it lapses and each significant finding tracked until somebody actually closes it.
The assessment is not the compliance — the action plan is
A completed fire risk assessment tends to get read as far as the overall risk rating and then filed. The part that changes anything in the building is further in: the significant findings and the action plan. Those actions are the compliance. An FRA with fourteen open actions and no evidence anyone looked at them is, in enforcement terms, close to having no assessment at all.
The second failure is quieter. Assessments have review dates, and review dates pass. A document that was suitable and sufficient three years ago is not evidence of anything today, and nobody gets a reminder from a PDF.
Document in, actions out, review date watched
The assessment document is held against the building with its assessor, its assessment date and its review date recorded — so the provenance of the record is clear without opening the file and hunting for a signature page.
Actions are tracked individually to completion. Each one carries its own status and close-out evidence, which means the question of what is outstanding from the last FRA has an answer on screen rather than in somebody's memory. Review dates surface ahead of time, not on the day they expire.
Risk Assessments
Every fire risk assessment, with its actions tracked.
- FRA documents held against the building, with review dates
- Actions extracted from the assessment and tracked to completion
- Assessor and assessment date recorded, so provenance is clear
What this is not
FireOptix does not carry out fire risk assessments and does not tell you whether yours is suitable and sufficient. A competent person does the assessment; this records it, tracks what it found, and makes both auditable. If you need an assessment carried out, you need an assessor, not software.
Common questions
- Does it write the fire risk assessment for us?
- No. FireOptix records assessments and tracks their actions. The assessment itself is carried out by a competent person — the platform holds the resulting document, its review date and its findings.
- How are the assessment's actions tracked?
- Actions are held against the assessment record and tracked individually, each with its own priority, owner and close-out evidence, so completion is evidenced against the original finding.
- What happens when a review date approaches?
- It is surfaced in the portfolio view before it falls due rather than after, which is the point — an overdue assessment discovered on the day it expired is already a problem.
