Remedial action tracking that closes the loop on fire safety defects.
Defects raised from the assessment, door check or inspection that found them, assigned by priority, and closed out with evidence held against the original finding.
Remedial actions are where compliance quietly fails
Almost every organisation finds its defects. Far fewer can show what happened to them. A remedial action raised in an FRA, passed to a contractor by email, completed on site and never written back to the assessment record has been done — but not evidenced, which for enforcement purposes is most of the way to not having been done.
The structural cause is that findings and fixes usually live in different systems. The finding is in the assessment or the inspection sheet; the fix is in a works order, an email thread or a contractor's own job system. Nothing joins them, so nothing can report on the gap.
The fix stays attached to the finding
Defects are raised directly from assessments, door checks and inspections, so the finding and the defect are the same record rather than two records someone has to reconcile. Each is assigned with a priority, which is what makes the urgent ones visible in a list of two hundred.
Close-out evidence is kept against the original finding. That is the whole point of the module: when somebody asks how a two-year-old FRA action was dealt with, the answer and its evidence are in the same place as the action.
Defects & Remedials
Found, assigned, and actually closed out.
- Defects raised from assessments, door checks or inspections
- Assigned with priority, so the urgent ones are visible
- Close-out evidence kept against the original finding
What this is not
This is not a works-order or job-management system. It does not dispatch contractors, price jobs or handle invoicing. It tracks that a defect exists, who owns it, how urgent it is and what evidence closed it — the compliance trail, not the field-service workflow.
Common questions
- Where do defects come from?
- From the records that found them — fire risk assessments, fire door checks and inspections all raise defects directly, keeping the link back to the original finding.
- Can we prioritise urgent defects?
- Yes. Defects are assigned with a priority so the urgent ones stay visible, and outstanding actions roll up across the whole portfolio in compliance reporting.
- Is this a contractor job management system?
- No. It holds the compliance trail — the defect, its owner, its priority and its close-out evidence. Dispatch, pricing and invoicing are not part of it.

Fire risk assessments
Every fire risk assessment held against its building, with the review date surfaced before it lapses and each significant finding tracked until somebody actually closes it.

Golden thread records
Assessment, check, servicing and remedial evidence held against the building it covers — current, attributable and reportable across the estate without anything being re-keyed on the day.
