Fire equipment inspection software for alarms, extinguishers and routine checks.
Alarm and detection systems, extinguishers and the routine checks around them, each held against the building with service dates surfaced before they lapse.
Servicing records live with the contractor, not the duty holder
Alarm servicing, extinguisher servicing and emergency lighting tests are usually carried out by third parties who leave a certificate behind. Those certificates accumulate in inboxes. When the fire service asks for twelve months of alarm service records, the duty holder emails the contractor — which is a poor position for the person who actually carries the duty.
Weekly alarm tests are the same problem at higher frequency. They are simple to carry out and easy to stop evidencing, and a test log with gaps in it is worse than one that was never started, because the gaps are the record.
Systems, assets and their checks in one history
Alarm and detection systems are held against the building with their service and test records kept on the system itself, and faults tracked from first report through to resolution. Extinguishers and other equipment are registered by location, with service and replacement dates surfaced before they lapse rather than after.
Inspection routines are scheduled per building or per asset and capture photo evidence at the point of inspection. The result is a full history per building — not a folder of loose reports whose completeness nobody can vouch for.
Alarms & Detection
Systems, servicing and faults in one place.
- Alarm and detection systems held against the building
- Service and test records kept against the system
- Faults tracked from first report through to resolution
Equipment
Extinguishers and equipment, with service dates.
- Extinguisher and equipment register by location
- Service and replacement dates surfaced before they lapse
- Missing or discharged units flagged at inspection
Inspections
Routine checks that produce a record.
- Inspection routines scheduled per building or per asset
- Photo evidence captured at the point of inspection
- A full history per building, not a folder of loose reports
What this is not
FireOptix does not monitor alarms, connect to receiving centres, or integrate with panels. It holds no live signal from any system in your building. It records what was serviced, when, by whom, and what they found — the evidence side of the job, not the detection side.
Common questions
- Does it connect to our fire alarm panel?
- No. There is no panel integration, alarm monitoring or receiving-centre connection. The platform holds servicing, testing and fault records against the system rather than live signals from it.
- Can contractors' service records be held here?
- Yes — service and test records are kept against the system or asset they relate to, so the duty holder holds the evidence rather than relying on the contractor's inbox.
- Does it cover emergency lighting and extinguishers?
- Both are handled through the equipment register: registered by location, with service and replacement dates surfaced before they lapse and missing or discharged units flagged at inspection.

Fire doors
A door register held by location, check routines recorded against the door they were carried out on, and any failure raised as a defect the moment it is found.

Defects & remedial actions
Defects raised from the assessment, door check or inspection that found them, assigned by priority, and closed out with evidence held against the original finding.
